BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB: The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lee County will receive a percentage of all sales made at the TigerTown Chick-Fil-A restaurant between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m the last Friday of each month.

Going on now: Registration for the Junior League of
Lee County’s annual Art/Walk Run at Town Creek Park
on April 14. Participants choose a 1.5 mile of 5K walk
or timed 5K run. The event offers doodie bags, prizes,
refreshments and activities for children. Last year’s
event raised $13,351, whereby the League was able to
provide resources to five community agencies that focus
on arts and literacy for children. More information

Job Search Support Group: Job Support Group (JSG) is a great networking group for professionals out of work and in search of employment. The JSG meetings allow participants to exchange ideas about the job search process and receive encouragement from group members. The Lee County Humane Society (LCHS) is selling their beautiful full-color, 32-page calendar for only $10, and all proceeds benefit the animals at the shelter. Over 50 pets were entered into the voting contest at the shelter to see which would be featured as the cover pet and pets of the month. All of the pets' pictures that entered into the contest are included in the calendar.
